About the SamsungTV and XBMC (and others) - we have another where
we are collecting information regarding supported (and unsupported also)
devices:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=19I had a look on Oregan pages but there is very little rela technical informations.
We have two way how to achive the device supported:
1. Direct cooperation with vendor's developers:
It is of course, preferable way as we can get device supported
as fast as vendor's R&D department is able to work with us.
2. Indirect, by doing some reverse analyses of network traffic.
So, for that you have to build some local lab where you
get your box working with some of DLNA server.
For such purpouse I like to recommend Serviio DLNA server
software (
www.serviio.org) which is based on java and so
it works not only on Windows but also on Linux.
When you have installed Serviio and get it working with your
box, then we can move to second step - you have to log
network transmission between the box and desktop
with running Serviio.
After doing network protocol analysis we should find
what is missing (or doing differently).
Of course, we can boost such time consuming
process a bit if we get such box for testing
from you. Then we can make all that way 2 case
ourself. After success we send device back to you.
As you see, it is not so easy, but if you have really
any usecase where you need some device
supported quickly, we are able to do it ourself.
